One person was injured in an early morning shooting Thursday in Toledo’s South End neighborhood.
The shooting occurred at about 12:15 a.m. in the 700 block of Orchard Street, according to Toledo police records. While police were at the shooting scene, dispatch alerted them that a man, Domingo Montoya, had arrived at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center with gunshot wounds to his leg and face, records show.
He was admitted for treatment and is in serious condition.
A woman at the shooting scene told police her nephew and some of his friends were outside when she heard multiple gunshots. She looked outside and saw a light-colored vehicle speeding away, heading east on Orchard, records show.
The investigation is ongoing.
