OAKWOOD, Ohio — A Paulding County man has been charged with murder after his brother was shot in the chest and died Saturday, Sheriff Jason Landers said in a statement.
Donald Richcreek, 26, was held in the Paulding County jail on the murder charge. A video arraignment in county court is to begin at 9 a.m. Monday.
His brother, Anthony Richcreek, 28, was pronounced dead at Paulding County Hospital, where he was taken with an apparent gunshot wound in the chest.
Deputies responded about 2:50 a.m. to a report of a man shot in a drive-by shooting at the Richcreeks’ address on Road 187 in Brown Township.
Investigators determined early on that there was no drive-by shooting. Donald Richcreek was arrested at the scene.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, said Dr. Diane Scala-Barnett, Lucas County coroner.
The shooting occurred more than 75 miles southwest of Toledo.
