One person was injured in a shooting early Sunday morning in downtown Toledo, causing panic among people leaving bars in that area, according to broadcast reports.
The incident took place near Huron and Washington streets, where someone fired shots at a car, wounding one person, according to WTVG-TV Channel 13.
Toledo police provided no information about the shooting later Sunday.
B.J. Fischer, vice president of marketing for Thread Marketing Group that manages Toledo Jeep Fest, said Sunday morning that organizers spoke with city police and were assured the shooting was unrelated to the event.
The festival hasn't experienced any issues and organizers have no increased concerns about visitors' safety following the incident.
"We think TPD has done a great job with security," Mr. Fischer said.
