The Toledo-Lucas County Police Athletic League has received a grant to expand after-school programming.
The $7,500 grant from the FCA Foundation, the charitable arm of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, will help expand services for the league’s Boy’s After School Workshops to more youth and the Polished Emerald Project to include college-prep programming, campus visits, and other field trips.
The league’s outreach programming provides safe after-school alternatives for local youth, helping ensure that children at risk of drugs and gang violence have the opportunity to be mentored by law enforcement officers.
