Two Internet cafes were robbed at gunpoint on consecutive days.
A Toledo police spokesman said Monday that investigators are continuing to gather information, but it was unclear if the two incidents are connected.
The first robbery happened about 12:30 p.m. Friday at Kings Internet Cafe, 2121 S. Reynolds Rd. in South Toledo. A police report said an unidentified suspect went into the business, put a handgun to the head of a worker there, and fled with a “large amount” of cash.
The second incident was reported at 9:14 p.m. Saturday at Royal Skills, 2150 W. Laskey Rd., in West Toledo. Police said a man entered the businesses and asked for help getting water, a report states. After an employee provided assistance, the suspect pulled out a pistol and pushed the victim to the office and cash register area, emptied the register, and fled.
The man is described as a white male wearing blue flip flops, gray pants, and a black mask. He fled in a blue-green vehicle of unknown make or model.
