Sandusky shooting leaves one dead, three behind bars

SANDUSKY — One man is dead and three others are in police custody after a double shooting in Sandusky on Saturday, according to The Blade’s media partner, WTVG-TV Channel 13.

Sandusky City Police reported Tavon Myers, 41, was shot and killed after multiple shots were fired in the 60 block of East Madison Street during a dispute over drugs and money.

Lavell Chapman, 25, of Lorain was reportedly found by police shot in the 20 block of Center Street. Chapman was arrested and transported and charged with aggravated murder.

Police also took into custody Exavier Cruz, 22, of Lorain, and Jalen Jones, 20, of Sandusky. Cruz is reportedly facing murder and robbery charges, while Jones is reportedly facing homicide and aggravated robbery charges.

All three men were transported to to Erie County Jail and are being held without bond.
