Two die in Paulding County crash

PAYNE, Ohio — Two women were killed Saturday in Paulding County’s Harrison Township when their car went off the road and overturned, the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Van Wert post reported.

Troopers said Kathy Szumanski, 41, of Coldwater, Mich. was westbound on Township Road 94 west of Township Road 21 about 7:25 a.m. when her car left the road’s north side and flipped, ejecting Ms. Szumanski and her passenger, Misty Miller, 38, of Fort Wayne, Ind. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The state patrol’s investigation continued later Saturday.
