Sylvania Township police investigate murder-suicide

Sylvania Township police are investigating a murder-suicide. 

Two people died from gunshot wounds to the head, the Lucas County Coroner’s Office reported Tuesday. 

The manner of death is ruled as a homicide for Annemarie Marksbury, 60, and a suicide for Robert Marksbury, 60.

The two were husband and wife, police said.

Woman killed, granddaughter kidnapped, suspect held

Sylvania Township police had been dispatched to a home in the Brookside subdivision at 9:49 a.m. Monday to check the safety of a coworker who did not show up for work, the police department said in an update.

Sylvania Township Fire Department pronounced the two dead at the scene.

The case remains under investigation by the Sylvania Township Police Department and the Lucas County Coroner's Office.

Annemarie Marksbury’s death marks the fourth homicide of 2021 in the metro area outside Toledo.

No further information was being released Wednesday afternoon.
