The motorcyclist killed Thursday in a crash at West Sylvania Avenue and Corey Road has been been identified as Douglas May, 61, of West Toledo, the Lucas County coroner’s office reported.

An autopsy is pending, said Dr. Diane Scala-Barnett, the coroner.

The crash occurred when a westbound vehicle driven by Christian Banton, 21, pulled into the intersection of Corey and Sylvania. He started to turn left when the light turned yellow, Toledo police said, and Mr. May’s eastbound motorcycle continued through the yellow light, hitting the side of Mr. Banton’s vehicle. 

Police are continuing to investigate.
