A person was shot late Saturday in South Toledo, authorities said. 

Toledo police and rescue crews were dispatched at 10:10 p.m. to a shooting in the 1100 block of Gordon Street, near Western Avenue and Hawley Street. 

A person with a gunshot wound was taken by Life Squad to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center. A name and condition were not immediately available.

Police searched the area for evidence.
