Teen's death ruled a homicide

The death of the 18-year-old Toledo man who was found fatally shot in West Toledo has been ruled a homicide, Dr. Thomas Blomquist, a Lucas County deputy coroner, said.

Pliasi Coker was pronounced dead at about 9:15 p.m. Monday in the 3700 block of Kershaw Avenue, where he was found suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the coroner's office.

He died of multiple gunshot wounds to the head and the manner of death was ruled a homicide, Dr. Blomquist said in a prepared statement Tuesday.

His death is the 45th in Toledo this year.
