Fire crews battle blaze in South Toledo

Toledo Fire and Rescue crews were at the scene of a fast-moving fire that forced all firefighters out of a house in the 200 block of Walbridge Avenue on Tuesday night.

One pediatric patient was transported to a local emergency room for treatment of a non-life-threatening medical condition, the department reported in a social media update.

The call came in about 6:20 p.m.

Twenty-one minutes into the incident, the fire command “ordered all firefighters out of the structure taking a defensive position as the fast-moving fire compromised the structure," the department said in its update.
