Toledo Fire and Rescue crews were at the scene of a fast-moving fire that forced all firefighters out of a house in the 200 block of Walbridge Avenue on Tuesday night.
One pediatric patient was transported to a local emergency room for treatment of a non-life-threatening medical condition, the department reported in a social media update.
The call came in about 6:20 p.m.
Twenty-one minutes into the incident, the fire command “ordered all firefighters out of the structure taking a defensive position as the fast-moving fire compromised the structure," the department said in its update.
The Toledo Fire Investigation Unit is looking into the blaze’s cause at the one-and-a-half-story home in South Toledo.
The American Red Cross was requested to assist with temporary lodging for two adults and one child, the department said.
Crews remained on scene for extensive overhaul.
