Bryan truck driver killed in U.S. 24 crash

A Bryan man was killed Saturday morning when the tractor-trailer he drove crashed on U.S. 24 in Providence Township, the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.

Kenneth F. Risner, 50, was pronounced dead at McLaren St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee following the crash reported about 10:55 a.m. on the freeway’s westbound side just east of the Lucas-Henry county line, troopers from the patrol’s Toledo post said.

Mr. Risner’s rig went off the roadway’s right side, entered a ditch, and struck a sign, troopers said. Impairment was not suspected in the crash, while it was not known if Mr. Risner wore a seat belt.
