A 19-year-old man was shot in North Toledo Monday night.

Around 8:50 p.m., police were dispatched to the 400 block of Mettler Street on a report of shots fired. Responding units found the teen in the street in the 500 block of Mettler with a gunshot wound to his leg.

He was taken to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center. Police recovered 5 shell casings from the scene.
