Toledo police have arrested the three teenagers accused of murdering Joaquin Simmons, 18, late last month.
Tynarius McFarland, 17, Chase Davis, 16, and James Ramsey, 17, were all charged, arrested, and booked into the Juvenile Justice Center on Monday, police said.
Mr. Simmons, 18, was in the 500 block of East Oakland Street about 4:10 p.m. March 29 to meet with a person to sell some shoes, police said. Several individuals then tried to rob Mr. Simmons, who held on to their vehicle as they drove away.
Mr. Simmons was dragged several blocks before he let go, police said. Officers found him in the roadway with critical injuries. He was taken to an area hospital, where he died four days later.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call or text the Crime Stopper program at 419-255-1111. Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward.
