Proofs of special election ballots available for review

The Lucas County Board of Elections is inviting the public to review proofs of ballots for an upcoming special election.

The proofs will be displayed from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the board’s reception room on the third floor of One Government Center. The proofs will be removed at 8:30 a.m. Friday.

Any corrections to the ballot should be submitted to the board by 4 p.m. Friday.

Voters on Feb. 26 will decide on two citizen-led ballot initiatives. One would ensure that any jail built in Toledo would go in the downtown area. The other seeks to protect lake health and would give the Lake Erie watershed rights to “exist and flourish.”
