COLUMBUS — State Rep. Mike Sheehy (D., Oregon), a member of the Great Lakes Legislative Caucus representing eight states and two Canadian provinces since 2015, has been appointed by the caucus to its executive committee.
The committee helps to direct the caucus as it deals with its missions of ensuring clean drinking water, reducing nutrient runoff, preserving habitat, and sustaining the economic development of the Great Lakes region.
“Serving in the Great Lakes Legislative Caucus has given Ohio a seat at the table as the region works to preserve and restore our precious Great Lakes,” Mr. Sheehy said. “Sharing innovative ideas with such a diverse and dedicated coalition of public servants has been so rewarding and one that I hope will bring national attention and resources back to our Great Lake Erie.”
