Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine bobblehead unveiled

The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled a brand new bobblehead of Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine on Friday which is the first of its kind featuring the 70th governor of the Buckeye State.

The National Hall of Fame and Museum, located in Milwaukee, will donate $5 from every Governor DeWine bobblehead sold to the Protect the Heroes fund in support of the 100 Million Mask Challenge. The Hall of Fame and Museum has already raised more than $160,000 through sales of Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx bobbleheads.

"During these unprecedented times, we want to continue to raise funds for an amazing cause while putting a smile on people’s faces with bobbleheads,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said in a release. “We received a lot of requests to make a bobblehead of Governor DeWine and other Governors who have been instrumental in the continued fight against COVID-19, so we’re excited to be releasing the bobblehead today.”

The Gov. DeWine bobbleheads are only available through the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum's online store and are $25 each plus a shipping charge of $8 per order. They will ship in July.

Only limited in-person voting will be allowed Tuesday because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The bobblehead features the 73-year-old DeWine wearing a suit and standing at a podium as he makes an announcement during a press briefing.

The Gov. DeWine bobblehead joins bobbleheads of California's Governor Gavin Newsom, New York's Governor Andrew Cuomo, and Wisconsin's Governor Tony Evers, which were all released on Friday.

According to the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum's press release, “DeWine has received considerable national attention during the COVID-19 pandemic starting in early March when he canceled events before any cases or deaths had been reported. The cancellation was widely regarded as 'radical' at the time but was soon followed by social distancing and isolation measures across the country.”
