Registration open for free self-defense class

Wood County Hospital Wellness Services is offering a free personal safety and defense class for ages 11 and older on May 25.

The class will be held from from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Wood County Hospital, 950 W Wooster St. Experts from the Bowling Green Police Division will cover topics that include how to avoid looking like an easy target, making your home more secure, safe traveling, and self-defense techniques.

Although physical participation is not required, it is encouraged. Children and teens can participate as long as they’re accompanied by an adult.
