Dog Day Afternoon planned at Bowling Green park

BOWLING GREEN — The Friends of BG Dog Parks will hold a Dog Day Afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Ridge Park, 225 Ridge St.

This will be the group’s first event at the future location of its permanent dog park. A fenced off-leash play space will be available.

Activities include face painting and crafts, best-dressed dog and talent show contests, and a talk on dog park etiquette. Zoom Room and Planned Pethood will provide information. Water bowls, balls, and dog toys will be provided.

There will be a 50/50 drawing, and donations to the Friends of BG Dog Parks will be accepted.

Dogs in the off-leash area must be licensed, fully vaccinated, non-aggressive, responsive to commands, and supervised, the group said.
