Volunteers needed for Perrysburg’s Great American Cleanup planned for April

Organizers are looking for volunteers for the city of Perrysburg’s Great American Cleanup planned for April.

The event will be April 12 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Three Meadows Park, 300 Three Meadows Drive, and April 13 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Orleans Park, 655 Maumee Western Reserve Rd.

Volunteers will work in groups to pick up litter and keep track of the items collected. Last year, more than 100 volunteers helped pick up more than a thousand pounds of litter in four Perrysburg parks, officials said.

Partners for Clean Streams works to improve water quality in northwest Ohio by hosting cleanups and other events throughout the year to ensure that litter does not end up in waterways.
