I love my Toledo Zoo, but for the first time, I’m very disappointed.

I appreciate The Blade articles that have explained the details of our beloved Louie’s move to Omaha. However, it was first reported he would leave sometime in September when the weather was cooler, then he was going to leave sooner, but he ended up leaving on June 22.

Why not a good-bye Louie event? Louie and my granddaughter were born the same year. They grew up together, with more visits than I can count.

I hope the Toledo Zoo cares enough about our hurt feelings over not being able to say good-bye and keeps us updated on Louie.
