To the editor: Latta's good name ruined

I was exceedingly disappointed that Rep. Bob Latta, along with 105 other Republican members of the United States House of Representatives, signed an amicus brief in support of a lawsuit backed by President Trump that seeks to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

Mr. Latta’s name will forever be tied to a president that was a total failure in leading our country. Mr. Trump pandered to our enemies, turned his back on friendly nations, and ignored the seriousness of a global pandemic that has already killed 300,000 Americans.

Bob Latta, as well as the other House members who signed this brief, will go down in history as guilty of violating their oath to uphold the constitution.

Representative Latta’s father, Del Latta, was one of Ohio’s longest-serving politicians, serving the U.S. House of Representatives from 1959 until 1989. He was considered a giant in the house and was well-respected.

Bob Latta, our current U.S. House representative, has demonstrated that he is a little man unlike his father.

I am certain if Del Latta were alive today, he would be furious and embarrassed by his son’s actions.

Bob Latta ruined the good family name in Ohio politics.

Don’t follow ‘Squad’

It’s not over until the Fat Lady sings, and I guess that I must now admit that she sang for the Electoral College.

Joe Biden will be the President, but in name only, since Vice President Kamala Harris, the “squad” and former President Barack Obama will be calling the shots. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez has said that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had better listen to “our” agenda “or else.”

Ms. Harris has said in a brief prerecorded speech at the national immigration integration conference that she and Mr. Biden at the National Immigration Integration Conference that she and Mr. Biden are focused on undoing President Trump’s reforms.

I don’t know about you, but for me, I’ll be following God and not the Squad.

Trust election workers

All of those who are complaining about the election ought to work an election.

It isn’t all that easy. You have to get up early and work late. We take a oath in honor of or country.

If those critics have time to protest, then they should use that time to be useful.

There are laws already enforce to honor the public and have a safe election.

Our President ought to read our laws before he falsely accuses the election workers of wrongdoing.

I have worked the election for more than 20 years and have never seen anything illegal.
