Brandon Kruse finished with two power-play goals and an assist as the Bowling Green State University ice hockey team opened the home portion of their schedule Sunday with a 6-0 shutout of Robert Morris at the Slater Family Ice Arena.
The Falcons (3-1-0), ranked No. 20 in the latest USCHO.com Division I poll, avenged a 3-2 loss Friday at Pittsburgh in the Colonials’ home opener to split the two-game series.
Lukas Craggs, Conor Ford, John Schilling, and Casey Linkenheld also scored goals for Bowling Green, which scored two goals in all three periods. Max Johnson added two assists.
Ryan Bednard registered 15 saves for the Falcons, while Francis Marotte stopped 23 shots and Dyllan Lubbesmeyer finished with four saves for Robert Morris.
The Falcons host Western Michigan at 7:37 p.m. Oct. 23.
