BGSU basketball lands Duquesne transfer Dylan Swingle

BOWLING GREEN — Duquesne basketball transfer Dylan Swingle announced he has committed to Bowling Green.

Swingle, a 6-foot-11, 305-pound post player, will have to miss the 2019-20 season according to the NCAA’s transfer rules. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.

He redshirted the past season, his only year at Duquesne.

At Paint Valley (Ohio) High School, Swingle was a three-star prospect, according to 247 Sports. He had offers from West Virginia and Akron, among others, in high school.

Bowling Green will retire the No. 6 of Gary Haas, right, in ceremony Saturday at Steller Field. The Falcons play Central Michigan at 1:05 p.m.

If Bowling Green guard Justin Turner withdraws from the NBA draft and returns to school — he still has not hired an agent — the Falcons would have all 13 scholarships fulfilled for next season.

The Falcons recently added junior college wing Trey Diggs to their roster.
