Former Ohio Mr. Basketball commits to BGSU

Former Ohio Mr. Basketball award winner Samari Curtis has committed to the Bowling Green State University men’s basketball team, the sophomore guard announced Monday on Twitter.

Curtis (6-foot-4) entered the NCAA transfer portal from Division I Evansville on March 11. He averaged 10.1 points and 2.4 rebounds as a reserve in 17 games this past season.

Out of high school, Curtis committed to Xavier before decommitting and signing with Cincinnati. After a coaching change at Cincinnati, Curtis then transferred to Nebraska, where he played eight games before deciding to leave for Evansville.
