Bowling Green hockey falls at Bemidji State for series split

BEMIDJI, Minn. — The Bowling Green State University hockey team fell 2-1 on Saturday night to Bemidji State to split a two-game road series with the Beavers.

The Falcons (3-1-2) won 3-2 over the Beavers on Friday night.

On Saturday, Bemidji State got two goals in the second period to build a lead. Lukas Sillinger scored with 4:20 left in the period and Alex Ierullo added another tally with 1:06 remaining.

Austen Swankler scored a goal for Bowling Green with 36 seconds left in the game, but that was as close as the Falcons came.

Bemidji State’s Gavin Enright stopped 40 of Bowling Green’s 41 shots.
