Bowling Green State University’s women’s basketball team concluded its three-day stay in Last Vegas with a 67-52 victory over Tennessee Martin in the conclusion of the Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic at South Point Arena on Tuesday.
Kadie Hempfling scored 20 points to pace the Falcons (5-4) in its final nonconference contest of the season. She posted 14 in the second half. Madisen Parker made 3 of 4 3-pointers and scored all of her 11 points in the second half.
“Great trip to Vegas with two team wins,” Falcons coach Robyn Fralick said. “I thought our team got great contributions from everyone, and I really liked our second half tonight. We will keep working to get better as we head into [Mid-American Conference] play.”
The victory is Bowling Green’s fourth in a row, dating back to Dec. 5.
BGSU caught fire in the second half in shooting 60.7 percent from the field (17-for-28) and draining 8 of 13 3-pointers.
Paige Pipkin paced UT Martin (3-8) with 15 points. Kyannah Grant followed with 14.
Bowling Green begins MAC play Dec. 29 at Eastern Michigan.
