Craggs goal in OT give BG hockey win over Bemidji State

BOWLING GREEN — Sam Craggs scored a goal 2:08 into overtime to give Bowling Green a 3-2 win over Bemidji State on Saturday at Slater Family Ice Arena.

The Falcons (12-9-3, 9-6-1 CCHA) led 2-0 after Coale Norris scored his second goal 4:20 into the third period. Norris opened the scoring 3:27 into the game on an unassisted goal.

Bemidji State tied the game at 2 with a goal by Owen Sillinger 5:51 into the third, and a power-play tally from Elias Rosen with less than two minutes remaining in the game.

Bowling Green's Evan Dougherty and Gabriel Chicoine each had assists on the second Norris goal.

Falcons goaltender Christian Stoever earned the win by making 33 saves, including 16 stops in the third period.

He made one save in overtime.

Beavers netminder Mattias Sholl stopped 20 shots, including one save in overtime before he allowed the game-winning goal to Norris.

Bowling Green split the weekend series with Bemidji State after falling 5-3 on Friday night.

The Falcons next travel to Big Rapids, Mich., for a weekend series at Ferris State. Friday's game is set for 7:07 p.m., while Saturday's will begin at 6:07 p.m.
