Bowling Green hockey wins 3-1 at Michigan State

EAST LANSING, Mich. — Ryan O’Hara scored two goals to lead the Bowling Green State University men's hockey team to a 3-1 road win over Michigan State on Friday.

O'Hara scored twice in the third period, with his first goal giving the Falcons (2-1-0) a 2-1 lead 1:25 into the final period. With 1:11 remaining in the game, O'Hara lit the lamp on an empty-net goal to put things away for Bowling Green.

"Tonight was a good experience for our guys in terms of playing in a hostile environment,” Bowling Green coach Ty Eigner said. “Tomorrow will be our first opportunity back home. Our guys got a chance to see the momentum that Michigan State got from their crowd and how fun it is to play on home ice. Now we get a chance to do that tomorrow at Slater Family Ice Arena."
