SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. — The Bowling Green State University hockey team scored three power-play goals to help sweep a weekend series at Lake Superior State with a 5-1 victory on Saturday at Taffy Abel Arena.
The Falcons topped Lake Superior State 7-4 on Friday night.
On Saturday, Bowling Green got goals from Nathan Burke and Alex Barber in the first and second period, respectively.
Then, the Falcons found the net three times in the third on goals by Taylor Schneider, Ryan O'Hara, and Dalton Norris.
Norris' goal was the first in his college career.
Bowling Green goaltender Christian Stoever was excellent in net, turning aside 33 of Lake Superior State's 34 shots.
The Falcons will face No. 11 Minnesota State in a home weekend series beginning Friday.
