BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s football program added a pair of linemen from Power Five conferences via the transfer portal, the school announced Tuesday.

Defensive lineman Bam Booker (6-foot-4, 240 pounds), who redshirted at Maryland last season, and offensive lineman Hunter Deyo (6-2, 280), who redshirted at Iowa State, have signed with BGSU.

Booker was a first team Division II All-Ohio defensive lineman in 2020 for Cincinnati Winton Woods High School. He helped the Warriors post a 40-8 record in his four years, which included a Division II state runner-up finish in 2017 (13-2 record), a state semifinal appearance in 2018 (12-2 record), and a 9-1 mark in 2020.

Booker totaled 62 tackles, 8½ sacks, and 14½ tackles for loss in high school. He also forced one fumble, recovered two, and scored a pair of defensive touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Deyo was a former four-star recruit by 247Sports, Rivals, and On3. The Council Bluffs, Iowa, native was also a three-time first-team all-state selection while playing for Lewis Central High School.

He helped Lewis Central capture its first state title in 2021, when the Titans won the Class 4A state championship.
