BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University senior guard Lexi Fleming posted on her Instagram account Friday she will miss the rest of the 2023-24 season.
Fleming, who is leading the Falcons in multiple categories this season including points (15.0), rebounds (4.7), and steals (2.4), left in the opening minutes of BGSU’s game at No. 16 Indiana on Dec. 22 with an apparent left leg injury. The 5-foot-5 senior guard, who was the Mid-American Conference freshman of the year in the 2020-21 season, missed the following campaign with a torn ACL in her right knee.
“Everything happens for a reason (2nd edition). Senior year came up short but you can’t get rid of me that easily,” Fleming wrote in her Instagram post.
