BGSU men's basketball falls to Eastern Michigan on the road

YPSILANTI, Mich. — Tyson Acuff had 34 points to spark Eastern Michigan to a 69-60 victory over Bowling Green State University in a Mid-American Conference men’s basketball game at the George Gervin GameAbove Center on Saturday.

Marcus Hill led the Falcons (16-9, 7-5 MAC) with 19 points, while Trey Thomas scored 13. Rashaun Agee had 13 rebounds. 

Acuff scored 29 for the Eagles (10-15, 3-9) in a loss to Louisiana-Monroe on Feb. 10.

Eastern Michigan ran out to a 22-9 lead halfway through the first half on Saturday, and the Falcons trailed 33-24 at halftime.

The teams played even in the second half.

The Eagles improved to 8-5 at home.

Bowling Green, which was averaging seven made 3-pointers per game this season, was 6 for 26 (23.1 percent) against EMU.

The Falcons were averaging 78.8 points over their past 10 games before Saturday’s loss.

Bowling Green plays at Central Michigan on Tuesday with tip-off set for 7 p.m.
