Former Michigan forward Khayat commits to BGSU men's basketball

BOWLING GREEN — Former University of Michigan men’s basketball player Youssef Khayat announced on Tuesday his commitment to join Bowling Green State University.

Khayat is the second player to announce their intentions to join BGSU and second-year coach Todd Simon via the transfer portal since the end of the 2023-24 season, joining former Arizona State guard Braelon Green.

A 6-foot-9, 215-pound forward from Lebanon, Khayat totaled 36 points and 24 rebounds in 26 games (154 minutes) the past two seasons at Michigan. He appeared in 17 games this season after playing in nine, including one start, as a freshman.
