Genoa grad Deiter on Sports Illustrated cover

Genoa High School graduate Michael Deiter graces a regional cover of this week’s Sports Illustrated.

The magazine’s college football preview issue highlights a few of the projected top teams this season, and the Wisconsin senior is featured along with his four partners on the Badgers’ offensive line. SI picks the Badgers third in its preseason rankings.

Deiter, who has started 41 games at Wisconsin, is a surefire starter for a Badgers team that went 13-1 and won the Orange Bowl last season. He wears No. 63 and is the top lineman in the photo.
