The Mid-American Conference announced Thursday updates to the 2019 football schedule, including kick times and television selections for a handful of games for the University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University football teams.
For Toledo, the kick times for three home games include the home opener — a 7 p.m. start against Murray State on Saturday, Sept. 14; a 3:30 p.m. kickoff for the Homecoming matchup vs. Western Michigan on Oct. 5; and an 8 p.m. kick for a Wednesday evening game vs. defending MAC champion Northern Illinois on Nov. 13.
Among the road game times announced for the Rockets were a noon kickoff for the season opener at Kentucky on Aug. 31, which will be televised on the SEC Network; a 2 p.m. kickoff at Ball State on Oct. 19; and a 7:30 p.m. start time at defending East Division champion Buffalo on Nov. 20.
Toledo’s remaining home schedule includes a Sept. 28 matchup with BYU; a battle with MAC West foe Eastern Michigan on Oct. 26; and a Tuesday night game with Kent State on Nov. 5.
Toledo's other road games without start times are at Colorado State on Sept. 21; at Bowling Green on Oct. 12; at Central Michigan on Nov. 29.
Three of the mid-week games have already been set for national TV broadcasts: Nov. 5 vs. Kent State (ESPN2 or CBS Sports Network), Nov. 13 vs. Northern Illinois (ESPN2 or ESPNU), and Nov. 20 at Buffalo (ESPN2 or ESPNU). Other dates may be added to the national broadcast schedule later.
Bowling Green will open the Scot Loeffler era on Thursday, Aug. 29 by hosting Morgan State for a 7 p.m. kick on ESPN3. The Falcons will then head to Kansas State for a noon kick Sept. 7 on FOX Sports Net.
Bowling Green will return home Sept. 14 to host Louisiana Tech for Homecoming at 5:00 pm on ESPN+ before opening conference play a week later at Kent State for a 3:30 p.m. kick.
The Falcons will then have a bye week before playing at Notre Dame at 3:30 p.m. with a national NBC broadcast.
Bowling Green will host back-to-back conference games Oct. 12 against Toledo and Oct. 19 against Central Michigan. Game times have not been set for those contests.
BGSU will then head to Western Michigan for a noon start on Oct. 26 before playing at Akron Nov. 2. From there, the Falcons will take part in midweek MACtion for the remainder of the schedule.
The Falcons play at Miami on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 8 p.m. for a nationally televised game on either ESPN2 or ESPNU. Following a six-day layoff, the Falcons will then host Ohio on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m., also on ESPN2 or ESPNU before closing the regular season Friday, Nov. 29 at Buffalo.
