Toledo native and former Maumee Valley Country Day star Zeb Jackson buried a game-winning jumper at the buzzer to give VCU a 55-54 win at Rhode Island on Wednesday.
Jackson, who transferred to VCU this season from Michigan, scored all nine of his points in the second half on 4 of 5 shooting.
For the season, he is averaging 5.7 points per game on 41.9 percent shooting with 1.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.0 steals per contest.
