Brianna Pratt, a fifth-year senior for Miami (Ohio) and a former standout at Perrysburg High School, was named the 2023 Mid-American Conference pitcher of the year, the league announced Wednesday morning.
Pratt has posted a 27-10 record with a 2.89 ERA so far this season. In 39 appearances, she has made 37 starts, with 28 complete games and nine shutouts.
She has racked up 184 strikeouts and 62 walks in 225 innings.
The RedHawks’ ace guided Miami (34-18, 21-8) to a MAC regular-season title and the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament, which begins Thursday.
Pratt earned first team All-MAC for the second consecutive season. She was a second-team selection in 2021 and a member of the all-freshman team in 2019.
