MOBILE, Ala. — A pair of area college football standouts had numerous highlights while competing in the Reese’s Senior Bowl on Saturday at Hancock Whitney Stadium.
Bowling Green State University tight end Harold Fannin, Jr., led the National team in receptions (four) and targets (five). He had 25 receiving yards, including 12 after the catch.
Fannin had a 5-yard reception from Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel on the National team’s opening possession, which resulted in a touchdown and two-point conversion. The Falcons’ consensus All-American had receptions of 11 and 10 yards in a three-play span early in the fourth quarter in a drive that also concluded with a touchdown and 2-point conversion.
No replays at the @seniorbowl, but great job by Harold Fannin Jr. getting to the pylon.

What do you think fans? Upon further review would he have gotten the six with the reach? pic.twitter.com/tdVxnO4s7L
Fannin’s reception and target totals were second overall in the contest to Texas Christian’s Jack Bech, who had six catches on seven targets for a game-high 68 yards. Bech’s 2-yard touchdown reception as time expired gave the American team a 22-19 victory.
Meanwhile, University of Toledo defensive lineman Darius Alexander, who was voted the National team’s defensive line practice player of the week, had two total tackles, including one solo that also went for a 1-yard loss in the first quarter.
