Prep Basketball: Northview boys top Bowsher

BOYS

NORTHVIEW 62, BOWSHER 58

Host Northview answered Bowsher’s fourth-quarter rally in the final minute, with Justin Noe making two baskets and a free throw in the final 15 seconds to lift the Wildcats to a nonleague victory.

Sean Craig led Northview (2-2) with 24 points.

Evergreen's Nate Brighton battles Cardinal Stritch's Brandon Burks, Ben Dunsmore (2), and Dwayne Morehead (15) for a rebound. Brighton scored 22 points Thursday to help the Vikings beat the Cardinals, 61-55.

The Cardinals used a 25-12 third-quarter advantage to run away with a victory over the host Indians.

Alex Rodriguez III led Waite with 11 points.

FREMONT — Fiesel Crumby hit five 3-pointers as St. Francis de Sales claimed a Three Rivers Athletic Conference boys basketball victory on Tuesday at Fremont Ross.

Crumby finished with 22 points for St. Francis (4-0, 2-0 TRAC).

Mikey Lopher had 12 points for the Little Giants.

FINDLAY 61, WHITMER 44

FINDLAY — The host Trojans outscored the Panthers 16-8 in the second quarter en route to a Three Rivers Athletic Conference victory.

A.J. Adams scored 14 points, Max Roth 13 points, and Chris Strzempka 12 points for Findlay (2-1, 1-1 TRAC).

Riley Keller had 14 points and Tony Delvaux added 10 for Whitmer (0-2, 0-2).

SPRINGFIELD 59, MAUMEE VALLEY 56

A 10-0 run in the fourth quarter lifted visiting Springfield past Maumee Valley in a nonleague game.

Elijah Kimmons led the Blue Devils with 16 points. Deon Key scored 13 points, Denzel Stuart 12 points, and Bo Bucker 11 points.

Lucas Fankhauser paced Maumee Valley (2-2) with 16 points. J.R. Lumsden scored 15 points, and Dez Jett added 11 points.

PERRYSBURG 48, SALINE 30

SALINE, Mich. — Jackson Sizemore had 19 points to lead the Yellow Jackets to a road victory over the Hornets.

Perrysburg led 20-8 at halftime.

EASTWOOD 38, BOWLING GREEN 25

PEMBERVILLE — The Eagles took a 16-6 lead in the first quarter and never looked back in defeating the visiting Bobcats in a nonconference game.

Jacob Meyer had 10 points to lead Eastwood.

Bowling Green got eight points from Eli Brown.

WOODWARD 54, BEDFORD 52

Deveon Lear’s 23 points led Woodward to a win over Bedford.

Dominic Chizmar scored 11 points and Kavon Harper added 10 points for the Polar Bears (3-2).

BLISSFIELD 57, WHITEFORD 25

OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. — Ty Wyman’s 14 points led Blissfield to a road win over Whiteford.

Zach Horky added 10 points for the Royals, while Whiteford’s Brodi Tesznar secured a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds.

LIBERTY CENTER 65, EDON 51

LIBERTY CENTER — Carter Burdue scored 22 points as host Liberty Center topped Edon.

Camden Krugh scored 16 points and Trent Murdock added 13 points for the Tigers.

Drew Gallehue scored 15 points and Austin Kiess added 14 for Edon.

EDGERTON 52, FAYETTE 22

EDGERTON, Ohio — Colin Gary scored 17 points to lead Edgerton past Fayette.

Logan Showalter bucketed nine points for Edgerton.

Tanner Wagner scored nine points to lead Fayette.

NAPOLEON 48, SOUTHVIEW 33

NAPOLEON — Taylor Strock bucketed 18 points, including a perfect 5-for-5 night at the free throw line, to lead Napoleon over Southview.

Shae Pedroza added 12 points for the Wildcats.

Cierra Harris scored 12 points to lead Southview.

OTSEGO 38, WOODMORE 33

ELMORE — Otsego broke a 33-all tie with 1:30 left with four free throws over two possessions to earn a Northern Buckeye Conference win.

Brynne Limes led the Knights (5-0, 3-0 NBC) with 12 points, and Taylor Cepek scored 10.

Jordan Nighswander had eight points to lead Woodmore (4-1, 2-1).

EASTWOOD 71, GENOA 58

GENOA — Jamie Schmeltz scored 28 points as visiting Eastwood claimed an NBC victory at Genoa.

Aubrey Haas added 14 points for the Eagles (4-0, 3-0 NBC).

Rylee Fredricksen scored 16 points for the Comets (2-4, 0-3). Caitlin Cruickshank scored 14 points, and Hannah Bradfield added 12 points.

ROSSFORD 50, FOSTORIA 29

FOSTORIA — The Bulldogs ran to a 27-11 halftime lead and coasted to an NBC victory over the host Redmen.

Sammi Mikonowicz had 21 points to lead Rossford.

PERRYSBURG 61, MAUMEE 17

Perrysburg defeated Maumee with a balanced effort on the offensive end, as Jade Faris’ 12 points were backed by four teammates who bucketed eight points each.

Macie Stringfellow, Kylie Griggs, Marissa Thomas, and Gracie Mitchell scored eight points apiece for the Yellow Jackets in the Northern Lakes League game.

Kaitlynn Owens led Maumee with seven points.

TOLEDO CHRISTIAN 96, CARDINAL STRITCH 22

Madison Royal-Davis scored 30 points to lead Toledo Christian past Cardinal Stritch in a Toledo Area Athletic Conference game.

Jacquelyn Norman added 15 points, Cat Jones scored 12 points, and Taylor Beard added 10 points for the Eagles.

Sam Turner led the Cardinals with nine points.

FAYETTE 34, STRYKER 29

FAYETTE, Ohio — The host Eagles edged the Panthers in a Buckeye Border Conference game.

Trista Fruchey led Fayette (3-3, 3-1 BBC) with 17 points.

Kinsey Myers scored nine points for Stryker.

ARCHBOLD 61, AYERSVILLE 27

DEFIANCE — Kylie Sauder’s 14 points led Archbold to a nonleague win over Ayersville.

Harley Phillips followed with nine points for the Blue Streaks (3-4).

Maci Froelich scored 12 points to lead Ayersville (0-3).

EVERGREEN 75, WHITEFORD 29

METAMORA — Four Evergreen players scored 10 or more points, as the Vikings (1-2) defeated Whiteford (0-2).

Madi Peluso paced Evergreen with 15 points. Savannah VanOlstrand added 11 points, and Bekah Bowser and Jordan Lumbrezer each scored 10.

Kinsey Kohler led Whiteford with 11 points.

BEDFORD 52, FENTON 17

TEMPERANCE, Mich. — Bedford picked up its second win in as many tries as the Kicking Mules defeated Fenton.

Madison Norton scored nine points, while Savanna Killinen, Grace Ryan, and Molly Koviak each added eight points for Bedford (2-0).

Korryn Smith led Fenton (0-3) with six points.

NORTHVIEW 75, SPRINGFIELD 23

Kacee Baumhower scored 21 points and Taylor Stacy added 19 as the visiting Wildcats topped the Blue Devils in Northern

Lakes League action.

Mia Rose scored nine points for Springfield.

SWANTON 41, PETTISVILLE 24

Averie Lutz scored 16 points as the visiting Bulldogs topped the Blackbirds.

Jessica McWatters led Pettisville with 11 points.

ELMWOOD 45, LAKE 44

MILLBURY — Brooklyn Thrash scored 21 points as Elmwood edged out Lake in Northern Buckeye Conference action.

Kayla Minich posted 10 points for the Royals.

Hayley St. John scored 15 points to lead Lake. Karly Bekier scored nine points on three 3-pointers.

NORTH CENTRAL 43, HILLTOP 40

PIONEER, Ohio — Makayla Brown scored 28 points to lead North Central over Hilltop.

Morgan Norden led Hilltop scorers with 12 points, while Kodi Brenner and Leanna Baker each added 11 points.

Other reported scores: Edon 49, Montpelier 47.
