Meet the Toledo schools’ likely new opponents in the Catholic High School League

Toledo’s five Catholic high schools in the Three Rivers Athletic Conference are joining the Catholic High School League in the Detroit area for the 2023-24 school year. 

Here is a look at their likely opponents in that league.

ORCHARD LAKE ST. MARY’S
■ Students: Co-ed
■ Nickname: Eaglets
■ Colors: Red and white 
■ Enrollment: 523
■ All-time team state championships: Football (8), baseball (5), boys basketball (4), hockey (3).
■ Football playoff history: 24 appearances (73-17 record).
■ Notable alumnus: Allen Robinson, Pro Bowl wide receiver in the NFL.

DETROIT CATHOLIC CENTRAL
■ Students: All boys
■ Nickname: Shamrocks
■ Colors: Blue and white
■ Enrollment: 933
■ All-time team state championships: Hockey (15), wrestling (15), football (10), cross country (6), baseball (3), tennis (3), basketball (2), soccer (2), lacrosse (1).
