Six area players received first-team honors as the Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association released its all-Ohio teams.
Springfield senior pitcher Mady Yackee and Anthony Wayne junior pitcher Katelyn Meyers were first-team honorees in Division I, while Bryan freshman pitcher Thea Staten earned the honor in Division II.
In Division III, Evergreen junior catcher Macy Chamberlin and Eastwood senior catcher Delany Maynard were first-team selections. Gibsonburg senior pitcher Jenna Bloomfield was a first-team pick in Division IV.
Whitmer senior infielder Sophia Wygast and St. Ursula Academy senior outfielder Haley Glass received second-team honors in Division I. Madison Martin, a senior pitcher from Van Buren, and Abigail Allison, a senior outfielder from Elmwood, were second team in Division III.
Arcadia senior catcher Emily Rank was a second-team pick in Division IV.
Four area players were named honorable mention, including Perrysburg sophomore infielder Hayley Griggs in Division I, Port Clinton senior outfielder Makenzie Martinez in Division II, Eastwood junior outfielder Lily Escabedo in Division III, and Northwood senior catcher Elizabeth Wauford in Division III.
