High school football hasn’t officially started yet, but we already have one winner for the season. 

Clay High School football has been chosen by Blade readers for having the best high school football helmet in our coverage area. 

The weekly matchups started on July 31st with 16 teams, eight teams advancing to the second round, four teams for the third round and then two teams remained for the final round.

Clay battled Sylvania Southview in the final round, ultimately winning by a vote of 58.3% to 41.7%.
