WAUSEON — Houston Miranda ran for all four of Patrick Henry’s touchdowns as the visiting Patriots topped the Indians 30-24 on Friday night to set up a battle of Northwest Ohio Athletic League football unbeatens next week at Liberty Center.
Miranda ran for 132 yards on 29 carries, scoring twice in the third quarter and once more in the fourth to help Patrick Henry (6-0, 3-0 NWOAL) pull away.
PH quarterback Nash Meyer completed 13 of 20 passes for 146 yards.
Wauseon (4-2, 2-1) opened scoring when Braylon Miller returned a fumble 39 yards for a touchdown in the game’s first two minutes.
The Indians’ Trey Parsons completed 15 of 25 passes for 215 yards and two touchdowns, both to Tyson Rodriguez (four catches, 60 yards).
LIBERTY CENTER 63, BRYAN 7
LIBERTY CENTER — The Tigers (6-0) cruised past the visiting Golden Bears (3-3) with three Kruses contributing rushing touchdowns.
Colton Kruse led the way for Liberty Center, rushing for 189 yards and four scores on just nine carries, averaging 21 yards per rush.
Trenton Kruse had 49 yards and a touchdown on the ground, and Landen Kruse had two receptions for 25 yards and a TD from quarterback Landon Amstutz.
Bryan’s touchdown was a run by Sam Herold in the third quarter.
Liberty Center led 49-0 at halftime.
CENTRAL CATHOLIC 28, CLEVELAND ST. IGNATIUS 0
Marquan Braswell ran for 182 yards on 21 carries with an 8-yard touchdown as the Fighting Irish blanked the Wildcats for a nonleague win at home.
Central Catholic (6-0) led 14-0 at halftime, getting a 3-yard scoring run from Tyler Morgan before Braswell scored on his.
Morgan had 55 rushing yards on 14 carries.
Jayden Barnes had a 52-yard interception return for a touchdown, and the Fighting Irish cemented the win with some trickery, as Jaylen Watson found Terry Collins for a 3-yard touchdown.
St. Ignatius fell to 1-5.
ST. JOHN’S JESUIT 28, BIRMINGHAM (Mich.) BROTHER RICE 2
Evan Skolmowski ran for 163 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries as the host Titans posted a Catholic High School League Central Division victory.
The defense of St. John’s (3-3, 2-1 CHSL) posted a shutout, with Brother Rice’s only points coming on a safety.
Carson Pawlowicz completed 13 of 16 passes for 130 yards and a score against Brother Rice. (0-5, 0-3).
SOUTHVIEW 28, SCOTT 12
Isaac Sexton rushed for 229 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries as the visiting Cougars picked up a nonleague win.
Will Mayzes threw for 41 yards on 5 of 13 attempts for Southview (3-3), while picking up 20 yards on four carries before leaving in the fourth quarter with an injury.
“I am proud of the way our kids battled tonight through a ton of chaos,” Southview coach Steve Hardy said. “We are excited to finally get to our league games.”
Scott fell to 2-4 overall.
START 44, ROGERS 24
The visiting Spartans rushed for 432 yards and seven touchdowns on 48 carries to upend the Rams in a City League contest.
Billy Wertz totaled 179 rushing yards and two touchdowns (38 yards, 2) on 15 carries and also threw a 58-yard touchdown to Marvon Thompson for Start (2-4, 2-0 CL). Jonah Tall added 77 rushing yards and three touchdowns one six carries.
For Rogers (1-5, 1-3), Marcellus Land returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown and hauled in a 13-yard touchdown pass from Leon Brown. Brown threw for a 164 yards and three touchdowns on 19 of 37 attempts.
PERRYSBURG 48, NORTHVIEW 0
Josh Takats threw three touchdown passes and Nick Oros ran for three scores as the host Yellow Jackets defeated the Wildcats in a Northern Lakes League Buckeye Division game.
Perrysburg (6-0, 1-0) had a 41-0 lead at halftime.
Takats was 9 for 15 for 119 yards and one interception. Oros rushed for 125 yards on 11 carries.
The Yellow Jackets’ Gavin Fenneken had four catches for 58 yards and two touchdowns. Dominick Woods had a 14-yard TD reception, the first score of the game.
Northview fell to 1-5, 0-1.
NAPOLEON 41, FREMONT ROSS 21
NAPOLEON — The Wildcats (2-4) earned their second straight win, taking a 20-0 lead by halftime against the visiting Little Giants (1-5).
The Napoleon defense set the tone early with Trey Rubenstein’s 54-yard pick-six in the first quarter. Rubinstein also caught a touchdown on offense from Owen Espinoza, who completed 9 of 11 attempts for 157 yards and three touchdowns.
Fremont Ross got going on offense in the second half, with quarterback Karson Kayden finishing the night with 18 completions for 175 yards and one touchdown.
OAK HARBOR 56, FOSTORIA 0
OAK HARBOR, Ohio — Dalton Witter ran for 161 yards and three touchdowns as the Rockets rolled by the Redmen for a Northern Buckeye Conference win.
Witter scored on runs of 6, 11, and 1 yards out in his 18 carries for Oak Harbor (6-0, 3-0 NBC). Jaqui Hayward had 78 rushing yards with a 73-yard touchdown on three carries, while catching seven passes for 74 yards.
Fostoria (1-5, 0-3) totaled 47 yards of offense, to Oak Harbor’s 476.
GENOA 48, OTSEGO 19
TONTOGANY, Ohio — Aiden Brunkhorst completed three touchdown passes to Denver Stewart, the first one a 79-yard score in the first quarter, as the Comets rolled to an NBC road victory.
Brunkhorst completed 9 of 10 passes for 282 yards. Stewart caught four passes for 118 yards. Aidan Antry (13 carries, 97 yards) ran for two touchdowns, and Alex Spencer (six carries, 74 yards) ran for two more for Genoa (5-1, 3-0 NBC). Spencer also had six two catches for 72 yards.
Devin Farley completed 19 of 26 passes for 217 yards and a touchdown, also rushing for 22 yards and a touchdown on eight carries, for Otsego (2-4, 2-1). Jack Simpson caught eight passes for 136 yards, one of them a 68-yard touchdown.

Cody Wulf had 280 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 33 carries as the Panthers defeated the Flyers in an NBC game.
Wulf scored on runs of 2, 3, 4, and 15 yards, and also went 8 for 8 on kicking extra points.
Liam Murphy had a 55-yard touchdown run for Maumee (3-3, 1-3 NBC), while Carson Graetz caught nine passes for 115 yards and two touchdowns from Ben Kubicz.
Andrew Ramirez had 237 passing yards on 13 of 22 attempts with a 58-yard touchdown to Jay Blazevich for Lake (1-5, 0-3). Brandon Darr went for 211 receiving yards on 17 catches with a 60-yard touchdown.
EASTWOOD 48, ROSSFORD 10
PEMBERVILLE, Ohio — Caiden Maize and Kadyn Donnell each rushed for three touchdowns as the Eagles defeated the Bulldogs in an NBC game.
Maize had 211 yards on 19 carries, while Donnell had 51 yards on 11 carries. Donnell also completed 14 of 19 passes for 202 yards and a 74-yard touchdown pass to Andre Lewis.
Lewis had 8 catches for 165 yards for Eastwood (5-1, 3-0 NBC).
Dylan Shannak had 178 yards rushing and a touchdown on 15 carries for Rossford (1-5, 0-3).

ARCHBOLD — The Blue Streaks (5-1) blew past the visiting Vikings (2-4) behind quarterback Cade Brenner’s 14 completions for 210 yards and three touchdowns.
Archbold led 34-0 at halftime, and led 44-0 before Evergreen got on the board in the fourth quarter. Chase Miller caught nine passes for 103 yards and two touchdowns.
Evergreen’s touchdown was a 42-yard Bryce Bolger pass to Will Ruetz. Bolger completed 9 of 15 passes for 116 yards.
HILLTOP 32, CARDINAL STRITCH 2
Hilltop’s Wade Wagner ran for 139 yards and two touchdowns (80 yards, 20) on 11 carries as the Cadets topped the Cardinals for a nonleague win at Clay Memorial Stadium.
Devin Dempsey completed 5 of 17 passes for 127 yards and three touchdowns for Hilltop (1-5).
Nate Bennett ran for 71 yards on 13 carries for Cardinal Stritch (1-5), while Kaeden Grainger threw for 111 yards on 10 of 22 attempts.

VAN BUREN, Ohio — Mason Modd threw for 233 yards and four touchdowns on just 12 of 13 attempts to lead the Eagles to a Blanchard Valley Conference win over the Black Knights.
Zach Elchert had four catches for 76 yards with a 5-yard score plus 114 rushing yards on eight carries with a 57-yard score. Ashton Crawford caught three passes for 74 yards with scores from 17 and 44 yards out for Liberty-Benton (5-1, 3-0 BVC).
Mason Thorla-Lopez had 98 receiving yards on three catches from Parker Beilharz (9 of 22, 163 yards) to lead Van Buren (2-4, 2-2).

FREMONT — Friday’s Sandusky Bay Conference River Division game between Tiffin Calvert and Fremont St. Joseph was canceled.
LAKOTA 36, WILLARD 7
KANSAS, Ohio — Jalen Wagner completed three first-half touchdown passes as the host Raiders picked up a Sandusky Bay Conference River Division victory.
Chase Dussel caught the first two touchdown passes, giving Lakota (3-3, 1-2 SBC) a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter. Avery Shilling’s 52-yard scoring reception four minutes into the second quarter put the Raiders up 20-6.
Micah Williams and CJ Biddle each had fourth-quarter touchdown runs for Lakota, while Brandon Leal had a 24-yard field goal. The touchdown for Willard (4-2, 2-1) came in the second quarter on a nine-yard pass from Isaac Robinson to Cam Robinson.
TOLEDO CHRISTIAN 54, DANBURY 6
LAKESIDE, Ohio — Tyler Grace threw four touchdown passes, and Karter Koester and Jacob Michalski each scored three times as the Eagles defeated the host Lakers in a Northern 8 game.
Toledo Christian had a 54-0 lead at halftime.
Grace was 8 for 10 for 168 yards, with three touchdown passes to Koester, who had 4 receptions for 76 yards. Drew Lachmiller had a 53-yard touchdown catch and a 42 yards scoring run.
Michalski had 10 carries for 110 yards for Toledo Christian (3-2).
Elijah Hatfield had a 3-yard touchdown run for Danbury (0-4).
