The Ohio High School Athletic Association released its football district seedings and bracket for the upcoming postseason on Sunday.

A total of 28 teams from northwest Ohio will compete in the postseason.

For the third consecutive season, the top 16 schools in each region qualified for the postseason with 448 schools earning playoff berths.

Five opening-round games will pit local teams against each other.

In Division I, No. 10 seeded Perrysburg (7-3) plays at No. 7 Whitmer (7-3).

In Division II, No. 15 Start (5-5) is at No. 2 Anthony Wayne (8-2).

In Division III, No. 16 Bowling Green (5-5) plays at top-seeded Central Catholic (10-0).

In Division V, No. 16 Elmwood (3-7) plays at No. 1 Liberty Center (10-0) and 13 Otsego (4-6) plays at No. 4 Oak Harbor (10-0).

All first-round games will be played on Friday with kickoffs set for 7 p.m. The top eight seeds in each region will serve as hosts for the first-round games.

Second-round games will be played on Friday, Nov. 3, at the higher-seeded team’s venue. Neutral sites will be used beginning in the third round on Friday, Nov. 10, and the regional finals on Friday, Nov. 17.

The state semifinals will be on Friday, Nov. 24, with the state championship games then hosted at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton on Nov. 30, Dec. 1, and 2.

The OHSAA published its final computer ratings report late Saturday night.
