Some of the area's softball championship chases have concluded, while others are yet to be decided.

Central Catholic (16-10, 14-4) defeated Notre Dame 10-2 in the championship game of the Michigan-based Catholic High School League's Cardinal Division playoffs on Monday in Livonia. Mich.

St. Ursula (9-13, 7-5) reached the final of the Bishop Division playoffs before falling 10-0 to top-ranked Farmington Hills Mercy in Monday's title game.

Anthony Wayne (22-1, 11-0), Ohio's third-ranked Division I team and the 2023 D-I state runner-up, still has some work to do to secure the NLL’s Buckeye Division championship.

Remaining in contention is eighth-ranked Perrysburg (22-3, 10-2), which lost 7-3 at AW back on April 18. The two teams meet again at Perrysburg Tuesday at 5 p.m. with first place on the line.

Anthony Wayne has Buckeye Division games remaining against Clay and Whitmer. The Yellow Jackets' league finale is versus Napoleon on Monday.

Tenth-ranked Springfield (19-7, 10-4) has secured a share of the NLL's Cardinal Division title after beating Bowling Green 10-1 on Monday. The Bobcats (13-10, 8-5) had beaten Springfield 5-4 in the earlier league meeting.

The Blue Devils, who were D-I state runner-up in 2022, and the top-ranked outright NLL champion (28-1, 14-0) last year, have a league game remaining at Napoleon in pursuit of an outright title.

In the NBC, first-year member Oak Harbor (21-2, 10-1) needs to win just one of its remaining three conference games to clinch at least a share of the title.

After Tuesday's conference game versus Rossford, the Rockets other NBC games are at Genoa on Friday, and Monday versus Eastwood. Oak Harbor's lone league loss was a 2-1 setback against Otsego on April 19.

The NBC’s only other contender is another first-year member, Maumee (18-7, 10-3), which concludes NBC play on Thursday versus Genoa.

In the TAAC, Northwood (9-9, 5-0) has clinched a title shared, and Emmanuel Christian (9-5, 3-1) remained in contention for a share of the crown entering its Tuesday conference game at Toledo Christian.

The Warriors entered the week needing wins over TC and Thursday at Northwood to tie the Rangers for the championship.

The City League playoff semifinals are set for Wednesday at 5 p.m., with top-seeded Start scheduled to host No. 4 seed Rogers, and No. 2 seed Waite hosting No. 3 Lima Senior.

The City championship game is scheduled for Thursday at 5 p.m. at Scott Park.
