The Anthony Wayne girls basketball team suffered a close loss to one of the top teams in the state of Indiana, falling 63-57 at the hands of Indianapolis Lawrence Central.
Elise Bender notched a game-high 28 points for the Generals (8-2). Leah Pike added 10 points.
In a nonleague matchup in the Toledo area, Port Clinton held off Oak Harbor 49-46, with Olivia Spencer scoring 23 points for the victorious Redskins (8-4). Brooke Tabbert had a game-high 36 points for the Rockets (8-3).
Woodmore defeated Lake 43-36 in a nonleague contest. Kara Schneider finished with a game-high 20 points for the Wildcats (7-2) against the Flyers. Brooke Wiley had 18 points to lead Lake (4-7).
