In a nonleague matchup pitting the Northern Lakes League against the Northwest Ohio Athletic League, Perrysburg boys basketball defeated Liberty Center 70-63 on the road Tuesday.

Ben Pamer’s 29 points, with 16 from Adam Gray and 10 from Brady Maxwell, gave the Yellow Jackets (14-3) the punch they needed to defeat Gavin Geahlen (25 points) and the Tigers (8-10).

Perrysburg led 33-30 at halftime before pulling away with a 21-14 advantage in the third quarter.

In one of three matchups between Toledo’s Catholic High School League schools and some of their City League counterparts, Dre Wardrop scored 26 points and Isaiah Mack-Russell added 21 to lead Central Catholic (10-7) over Start 67-52. Connor Meikle, J’Siah Jefferson, and J’Kiah Jefferson all had 11 points for the Spartans (10-7).

In the other two crosstown games, St. Francis de Sales beat Bowsher 66-25 and St. John’s Jesuit defeated Waite 77-40.

In the Sandusky Bay Conference’s River Division, Brady Thatcher put up 27 points to spur Woodmore to a 63-47 win at Sandusky St. Mary. The Wildcats (6-11, 5-8) built a 31-16 lead by halftime.
