ANN ARBOR — Michigan football added a four-star, in-state recruit to its 2021 class on Sunday.
Raheem Anderson, a center out of Detroit Cass Technical, announced his commitment on Twitter.

He is the seventh commit in the class for the Wolverines. Prior to Anderson, Michigan had the No. 12 recruiting class in the country and the No. 6 class in the Big Ten. Now, Michigan has the No. 9 class in the country and the No. 3 class in the Big Ten behind Ohio State and Wisconsin.
Of the seven recruits so far in the class, Anderson is the third four-star offensive lineman. At 6-foot-3, 298 pounds, Anderson is rated as the No. 3 center in the nation, the No. 7 recruit in Michigan, and the No. 211 overall recruit in the class of 2021, per 247sports’ composite rankings.
Besides Michigan, Anderson had 25 other offers, including from Michigan State, Maryland, Nebraska, Purdue, LSU, Central Michigan, and Toledo.
Along with offensive line coach Ed Warinner, Anderson was also recruited by tight ends coach Sherrone Moore. With four commits in the class so far, Moore is currently ranked as the No. 5 recruiter in the country per 247sports.
